Clear Messages Lead to Positive Behavior
In order to give clear messages, you must first watch what your child does or says, then clearly tell your child what was done correctly or incorrectly. It’s like giving and instant replay of their behavior. Use words that you know your child will understand. For younger children, use short sentences and easily understood words.
Giving clear messages helps to describe who is being praised, whose behavior is being corrected, what just happened, what was done well and what needs to be improved or changed. |
