Dr. Rodney Lusk, Director of Boys Town Ear, Nose & Throat Institute and
Dr. Winslow Borkowski, Boys Town Pediatric Neurologist, will be presenting at the first-ever Midwest PANS/PANDAS Patient Support Group Meeting, a collaborative effort of Boys Town National Research Hospital; Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Associates and IGLiving.com.
At this meeting, parents will receive support through education on the disease, psychiatric and behavioral symptoms, potential treatments and what it means to have a child with PANS/PANDAS. Dr. Lusk will be presenting on the role of tonsillectomy in treating PANS/PANDAS and Dr. Borkowski will talk about the neurological movement disorders associated with PANS/PANDAS.
This is a free event open to parents of children with PANS/PANDAS and medical providers who are interested in learning about the topic. Breakfast, lunch and childcare will be provided, and attending families are invited to spend an afternoon at the zoo following the 12:30 adjournment.
