Is My Baby Eating Enough?

  • Is my baby eating enough?

Your infant should be eating, on average, about every 3 to 4 hours and should be relatively satisfied after eating, and sleep restfully during that time frame.

Your infant should be making, at least, 3 to 4 good wet diapers a day.

The amount of stool that they pass can be really variable.

Some infants will have a lot of bowel movements and some infants will not, so you can't use that as a precise judgment if your baby is getting enough to eat.

Your pediatrician is going to make sure that they're checking your baby's weight and that good weight gain is going to be key to knowing your baby is getting enough to eat.
