COVID-19 Vaccines Available for Patients 5+

We've seen the reports across the country of the elevated COVID‑19 diagnoses and hospitalizations and the surge of the Delta variant. To help in the fight against this virus, Boys Town physicians and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that those 5 years and older receive the COVID‑19 vaccine as soon as possible.
Boys Town Pediatrics and Boys Town Internal Medicine are
currently scheduling appointments for the COVID‑19 vaccine for patients ages 5 and older and their family members. To schedule your vaccine appointment, call

Boys Town Medical Clinics is issuing the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID‑19 vaccine, which is the only vaccine FDA-authorized for children 5 years and older.
What You Need to Know
- COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective at preventing COVID‑19 disease, especially severe illness and death.
- COVID-19 vaccines reduce the risk of people spreading the virus that causes COVID‑19.
- You may have side effects after vaccination. These are normal and should go away in a few days.
- It typically takes 2 weeks after vaccination for the body to build protection (immunity) against the virus that causes COVID-19. You are not fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after the second dose of a 2-dose vaccine or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine.
