Our Residential Treatment Center is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents and the families who care for them. We recognize that navigating severe behavioral and mental health challenges can be difficult, stressful and often overwhelming for everyone involved. That is why we are here to help.
Through a developmentally informed approach to treatment, we prioritize the unique needs of each child as we implement tailored treatment plans. We are deeply committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment, where children and teens from all backgrounds are treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Our evidence-based therapeutic interventions are specifically designed to address each youth’s individual challenges — whether behavioral, emotional or academic — empowering them to heal and grow.
Comprehensive Treatment Plans
In behavioral health, there is no “one size fits all” solution. That is why we create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s or teen’s behavioral, physical and mental health needs. Our team of board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists collaborates closely with primary care physicians and licensed mental health professionals to ensure that every aspect of a child’s well-being is carefully considered in the development of their treatment plan.
Therapy goals within each treatment plan are based on the well-respected Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health. Each child is paired with a licensed clinical therapist who provides one-on-one, family and group therapy to support their journey toward healing and growth.
To ensure progress and adaptability, we utilize a robust tracking system that captures real-time behavioral data. This data, combined with other qualitative measures, allows us to make informed adjustments to each individual’s treatment plan as needed, ensuring the most effective and responsive care possible.
Our Treatment Model
The foundation of our treatment program is the nationally recognized Boys Town Psycho-Educational Treatment Model (PEM). This innovative approach fosters an environment where medical, psychological and social treatment of children and adolescents is seamlessly coordinated, leading to more meaningful and positive interactions.
A hallmark of PEM is the philosophy of “Catching kids being good” which emphasizes reinforcing positive behavior at a higher rate than reprimands for negative behavior. Unlike punitive, self-help or standard counseling models, PEM focuses on empowering youth by teaching them effective, pro-social strategies to meet their needs and navigate challenges.
Children and teens in our program benefit from over 40 hours of psycho-educational treatment each week, equipping them with the tools to enhance their social development, achieve academic success and build essential independent living skills. Through this model, we aim to create lasting, positive change in the lives of the youth we serve.
