The program provides Dual Diagnosis treatment, which involves up to 12 hours of treatment interventions per week to address the dysfunctional drug or alcohol use and mental health difficulties experienced by the youth.

The Boys Town Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program utilizes an evidenced based treatment program approved through Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) for effective treatment outcomes. Intensive outpatient treatment services includes up to 9 hours of group psychotherapy per week and individual and family psychotherapy services, with strong emphasis on the family system and improved family functioning.
