Integrated Physical Healthcare

A distinctive feature of the Boys Town Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is our ability to deliver integrated mental and physical healthcare through Boys Town National Research Hospital, conveniently located on our campus. Our team of psychiatrists works closely with our board-certified pediatricians to ensure comprehensive medical care and medication management for the children and teens in our program. Key services include:
- Comprehensive physical examinations – Conducted shortly after admission, these examinations determine the course of treatment for each youth’s healthcare needs.
- Medication assessment and management – Oversight by both a psychiatrist and pediatrician ensures safe, effective and ongoing medication management.
- Ongoing physical health monitoring – Our registered nurses, specially trained in behavioral and mental health, work in close cooperation with the RTC staff to address the health and wellness of our youth.
- On-site medical care – In the event of illness or emergencies, our team is equipped to provide immediate, high-quality care.
Boys Town offers a comprehensive range of behavioral health services within a safe and nurturing environment, tailored to meet both the mental and physical healthcare needs of children and adolescents.
