Hearing Evaluations
The audiologists at the Hearing and Balance Center provide hearing evaluations to determine the degree and severity of hearing loss. These evaluations are performed on infants, children and adults. Conventional Audiometry is the most common hearing test for adults. In these tests, the patient wears earphones and responds to sounds heard. Hearing evaluations for infants and children include monitoring for visual clues.
Hearing Aids
If you or a loved one is diagnosed with hearing loss and could benefit from hearing aids,
Boys Town audiologists will custom-fit the right device for the patient’s needs. A wide range of manufacturers and options are available to find the best hearing aid solution for each individual patient.
We can also provide custom ear molds for cell phones and other personal listening devices, Bluetooth- and FM-system compatible hearing aids and assistive listening devices for television and telephones.
Audiology Training and Externship
Boys Town National Research Hospital offers
three 12-month full-time 4th Year AuD Externship positions. Students have two options for the externship: a clinical only externship or a clinical + research externship.
