Immunizations

Boy getting vaccination in upper arm

Immunizations protect children against harmful diseases.

Boys Town Pediatrics follows the immunization schedule recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics. These vaccines will be available at your child's well check visits starting at 2 months of age.

Your Boys Town Pediatrics clinic will track your child's immunization schedule for you and provide you with information on the vaccines your child is receiving.

Flu Clinic

The best way to prevent the flu is to get the annual influenza vaccine. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), everyone 6 months and older, with rare exceptions, should receive a vaccination in early fall or as soon as it is available.

Boys Town Pediatrics has created a video series to help parents understand vaccines. Our pediatricians have answered questions like what is a vaccine and how were they first developed, what are potential side effects from vaccines and are they harmful to children, and what is the difference between natural immunity and vaccine-induced immunity.
